Battery replacement sounds simple, but it has some details to take care of. First is the torque applied to the battery poles to ensure they are not damaged with excessive force, causing leaks and corrosion. Secondly, the technicians have to take care of acid ventilation system, especially for the battery installed in the cabin or under the seat. 

In addition, current short circuit should be avoided as it may result in expensive repair on the car’s ECU’s. 

The question is “should you try battery replacement by your own?” We believe it safer to have it done by trained mechanics as they also have supporting tools.
